If you’re spending Valentine’s Day in Marin but want to gift a Tahoe getaway, it’s fun to visit during “only in Tahoe City” events. Here’s a quick rundown of upcoming favorites:

• If the snow gods bless us, The Cobblestone Relays will be held at the Tahoe City Winter Sports Park on Feb. 26. Whether you choose to be a spectator or participate, these fast paced cross-country ski races are a blast and benefit the education programs run by Tahoe Cross Country.
• The Alpenglow Mountain Festival includes a variety of free activities and talks from Feb. 21 to 28. Visit Alpenglow Sports.
• Wacky Winter Bowling, one of the most amusing and goofy sledding events, will take place during SnowFest on March 1. Hop on a saucer and knock down as many blown up pins as possible on a snow-covered course. Details available at VisitTahoeCity.com.
