Patrons will be able to enjoy oysters from farms throughout California and Baja, The Pacific Northwest, The Atlantic Northeast, and naturally, there’ll be copious amounts of beer to wash it all down. The 16th annual event also reflects the Bay Area ethos with cooking demos and food vendors providing sustainably farmed local product. And then there’s the entertainment. Thievery Corporation, Grandmaster Flash, Warren G and other eclectic choices make up this year’s musical offerings, ensuring something for everyone.
On top of all of it, a shuck and suck contest is set to take place. I’m not sure exactly what that entails, but I’ll be there to find out.
