Marin Community Clinics Annual Golf Classic Raises Money for Healthcare Services

On September 22, 125 guests gathered at StoneTree Golf Club in Novato for the 4th Annual Golf Classic, in support of essential healthcare services for nearly 40,000 patients throughout Marin County. Hosted by Marin Community Clinics (MCC), this year’s friendly competition ended up raising a total of $72,000.

The tournament brought together 101 golfers, 22 community sponsors and dozens of volunteers, with MCC Board Chair Marcy Norenius as one of the especially notable attendees. Sponsors included jacket sponsor Cadillac Marin, whose support helped outfit players in style.

Some participants were highlighted for their efforts at the classic — Team Clark and Team Hennessy ultimately took home the championship trophies, with runners-up Team Shultz and Team Klein. The Longest Drive winners were Steve Johnson for the men’s side, and Catherine Cappelletti for the women’s. Closest to the Pin went to Matt Acolla and Best Dressed Golfer was awarded to Dr. José Chíbras Sainz.

The evening concluded with a taco dinner and silent auction, with proceeds contributing to the total funds raised over the course of the day.
