California Nurse-Midwives Foundation
California Nurse-MidwivesFoundation works to expand access to midwifery care in California to improve outcomes and reduce disparities. It supports midwives and students of color leading projects and pursuing education to serve their communities. In a field that remains largely white and affected by systemic racism, the organization funds efforts that engage stakeholders, regulators and institutions to drive change. With limited funding and persistent barriers, its work spans maternal and broader reproductive health, which is vital today.

Marin Community Clinics
Since 1972, Marin Community Clinics has provided compassionate and affordable health care to uninsured and low-income residents of Marin County. From humble beginnings with volunteer physicians and nurses in church basements, it has grown into a modern provider with expert staff, advanced technology and comprehensive diagnostic, treatment and prevention programs, serving more than 38,000 people annually across clinics throughout the county.

Upgrades Marin’s largest community healthcare, expanding access at Marin Community Clinics for over 38,000 residents and reducing wait times.
Mental Health Advocates of Marin
MHAM manages the ERC, a peer-run mental health drop-in center serving individuals experiencing mental health challenges, substance use disorders and/or homelessness. Participants come from across Marin County, including unhoused and underserved populations and those living below the poverty line. Insurance and referrals are not required and all services are free.

ERC offers support groups and peer support services unique among providers in the county, including one-on-one support from trained peer specialists with lived experience. Groups cover anxiety and depression, meditation, women’s and men’s groups, bipolar support, substance use disorder, art and peer education classes. Evidence-based offerings include the Wellness Recovery Action Plan, Hearing Voices and the science-based Self-Management and Recovery Training group. Some support services are also offered in Spanish.
