Marin Magazine’s Celebrating Women 2024 Event

More than 100 women filled the stunning and expansive Alexandrite Suite located at the top of Casa Madrona Hotel & Spa on May 2 to take in the incredible bay views, spring-like weather and supportive community at Marin Magazine’s Celebrating Women event. It was a gathering to commemorate the magazine’s annual issue highlighting the county’s notable female movers and shakers.

2024 marks the seventh anniversary of the magazine’s annual issue dedicated to fierce females. Mimi Towle, editor in chief, explains the thought process behind it — and why dedicating an annual issue to women almost never happened in the first place. In hindsight, it’s clear that the decision was spot-on. The May issue not only not amplifies the voices of women but also sends a powerful message about the importance of female representation in media.
