The Scale Collective
Sara Haag leads this design firm based in Tiburon, founded on the principle of elevating the everyday human experience through interiors and artful living. They focus on interior design, interior architecture, and art consulting. The team approaches projects through a narrative-driven conceptual process, and believes that each project is a conversation born out of how the client lives and wants to feel in their spaces. They are driven by curiosity and the creative worlds of art, architecture, nature, and music.
As Sara describes, “In our practice we are passionate about the interplay of scale of various objects in space, to create dynamic, livable and comfortable interiors. We love working with up-and-coming as well as established artists to commission custom art and works in our projects, and are particularly passionate about large scale installation art in spaces. Our aesthetic can be described as: sculptural,
modern, sinuous, earthen, and organic. We work in a variety of styles and influences, but are known for a blend between relaxed coastal California living, meets European sensibilities and style.”

Miranda Maas
Taking a leap of faith is easier when supported by the wings of passion. For Miranda Maas, a former champion diver and licensed therapist, that plunge came in 2021 when she set out to build a non-profit diving program that would challenge norms and change the future of club sports in America.
Maas created Dive Lab, based out of the world-class facility at the College of Marin, to not just increase access to the sport of diving, but to prioritize a holistic athletic journey focused on people rather than podiums. Having seen first hand the effects of prioritizing athletic success over personal development, she knew she was the right person to change the narrative. “Happy and healthy athletes have the most success in and out of the pool. And they are the ones that go on to change the world,” Maas said.
Through instruction in diving, mindfulness, strength, conditioning, circus skills, and more, Dive Lab has developed a program that benefits and captivates everyone. Participants range in age from seven to 77, which creates a unique atmosphere for training and learning. “Our masters divers get to show what staying active and healthy through life looks like and our younger kids bring an energy and joy
that inspires and motivates everyone.” This integration is just one reason why Maas and Dive
Lab have become a fixture for opportunity and
community in the North Bay.

Paige Peterson
The Belvedere that welcomed newly born Paige Peterson in 1955 reads like the setting of a dreamy California childhood — but it was Paige’s reality. On the Belvedere Lagoon, she learned to swim and sail, slide down the golden hills on cardboard, walk with her sister Laurie down the old railroad tracks to feed apples, carrots, and sugar cubes to the swayback horse in Blackie’s Pasture, and always headed home when the 4:30 whistle blew.
Paige has written Growing Up Belvedere-Tiburon, and is the co-author and illustrator of Blackie: The Horse Who Stood Still with Christopher Cerf.
She recently illustrated Jesse Kornbluth’s abridged editions of the children’s classic novels A Christmas Carol and Black Beauty. Now co-abridged with him, she’s illustrated The Secret Garden, to be published this fall.
Paige provides consulting services for Hadley General Contractors, creating their dynamic advertising campaigns with many of her beautiful and often gritty photographs. Paige is also the Executive Producer of the Belvedere Home Made Film Festival, which will be held on October 4th, 2024 in Belvedere Community Park.

Monica Gray-Fong
Two weeks after the birth of their first son, Nice Guys Delivery was incorporated in 2016 by Monica Gray-Fong and her husband Adam Fong. The couple, Marin County residents, saw firsthand how cannabis brings relief to people with illness as both of their fathers had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease that same year but they struggled to obtain quality cannabis, CBD or service in the area. Hence, Adam and Monica started Nice Guys Delivery, followed by Nice Gals Delivery, two knowledgeable, high-level enterprises that offer the highest-grade flowers, edibles, lotions, teas, tinctures, and more across both the THC and CBD industries.
Monica grew up in Mill Valley CA and attended Old Mill, Mill Valley Middle School and Tamalpais High School. After graduating from Tamalpais High School, Monica attended UCLA where she obtained her BA in World Arts and Cultures. Directly after graduating, she flew out to New York City and spent 7 years working in product development in Footwear and Apparel where she worked at Calvin Klein and Jcrew. Monica then returned to her home-town to work at a startup footwear company located in San Rafael called Vionic Shoes.
While continuing to navigate the complexities of the cannabis industry, Monica also volunteers on the Board of Directors at the Center for Domestic Peace, which leads a comprehensive community effort to end domestic violence in Marin County.

Lori Drourr, DVM, Dacvim Cardiology
Dr. Lori inherited Max last Spring. It was an unlikely pairing – chihuahuas are not water dogs, and Dr. Lori is a water-woman. When asked to adopt Max, unknowingly she said, “I do not do chihuahua.” But in Dr. Lori’s world, family comes first so Max soon became family. Unfortunately, Max arrived with a heart murmur and a mouth infection. Max’s diet had been hoagies and pizza – Jersey fare, not California cuisine. Did Max’s diet contribute to this? A board-certified veterinary cardiologist, Dr. Lori examined Max’s heart and had peace of mind knowing the next steps to take.
Here are three things Dr. Lori wants you to know:
- Heart murmurs benefit from specialized care
- Grain-free diets are not what the cardiologist ordered
- Cats have their own special cardiovascular needs
Learn more and follow Max’s journey at www.veterinarycardiologypartners.com. Dr. Lori has a holistic approach to her cardiology practice – educating dog and cat pet parents so you too can have peace of mind for your heart and theirs.

Kasey Corbit, ESQ., C.F.E
Kasey Corbit has one of the most unusual legal résumés around. Here, breadth does equal depth. By seeing first-hand how each tool of litigation is used, combined with her extensive experience working for the federal judiciary and learning directly from judges what matters most, Kasey crafts case strategies specific for each client’s need.
At Seren Legal, the boutique firm she founded two years ago, Kasey navigates clients through the turbulent waters of real property, contract, and fraud-based disputes. She became the second Certified Fraud Examiner in Marin County and uses these strategies to her clients’ advantage. She also has capacity to conduct fraud investigations in a wide variety of situations, be it deceptive reporting in large corporations or embezzlement in small, family-held companies.
From the dusty yards of Central Valley prisons to the hallowed halls of the Ninth Circuit, Kasey’s career has given her access to the inside workings of institutions most never get to see. She has been called on to interpret complex statutory schemes on an emergency basis and to resolve complicated constitutional issues. This experience means a firm foundation from which to address any legal need or question.
When not litigating, Kasey and her family can be found on the trails or in the waves of West Marin, which they have called home for nearly a decade.

Heidi Kuhn, Founder
Since 1997, Roots of Peace began with a vision of turning MINES TO VINES—replacing landmines with sustainable farmland worldwide. Heidi Kuhn, Founder, is a fifth generation descendent of a Marin County pioneer family, as her great-great grandfather, Captain John A. McNear, purchased over 2,500 acres of land in San Rafael in the 1860’s. The legacy of respecting the land and its’ people has been passed through generations, as her family provided the Chinese safe refuge at China Camp State Park during this period.
Turning ‘vision into reality’ is part of her pioneer spirit for peace, as she heals the wounds of war and cultivates peace through agriculture across borders.
Heidi is the proud 2023 Laureate World Food Prize—considered the Nobel Prize for Food and Agriculture—honoring her work to facilitate the removal of millions of landmines and planting over seven million fruit trees on former war-torn lands. She has impacted the lives of millions of farmers and families. She is also the recipient of the Mother Teresa Award for Social Justice, FORBES 50 Over 50 Women, Cal Berkeley Alumni of the Year Awardee for Excellence and Achievement, Skoll Social Entrepreneur Awardee and Marin Women’s Hall of Fame.
