A Night in Tuscany: North Bay Children’s Center Hosts 37th Annual Fundraiser

On September 19, 350 guests brought the Gambonini Family Ranch in Petaluma to life for North Bay Children’s Center’s (NBCC) 37th annual A Night in Tuscany fundraiser. This year’s event raised a particularly ground-breaking $445,000, which will support NBCC’s ability to continue providing early childhood education, nutritious meals, programs and other essential services for the North Bay’s children and families.

Guests enjoyed an atmospheric night of cocktails, a curated dinner and fundraising activities; notable eventgoers included Senator Mike McGuire, Chef Dustin Valette and Daniel Rodriguez (The Singing Policeman).

The cocktail reception featured over a dozen purveyors, including local wineries, breweries, distilleries and artisan partners, that each offered tastings along the Artisan Trail. The subsequent three-course meal was provided by Park Avenue Catering.

There were many fundraising opportunities throughout the evening, with over 60 silent auction packages and a live auction headed by Senator Mike McGuire. One special live auction item was Kidding Around, a painting by Bradford Brenner that was created collaboratively with children from NBCC’s Fitch Mountain location. Plus, guests participated in direct giving through a Fund-a-Needle paddle raise.

“The incredible generosity of our supporters makes it possible for NBCC to continue providing children with the early education, nutrition and supportive services they need to thrive,” NBCC Founder and CEO Susan Gilmore said. “This record-breaking evening is a testament to what we can accomplish when our community comes together for children and families.”

In addition to the event’s many activities, live performances from Rodriguez and Marla Kavanaugh kept energy high as the night progressed. Later, NBCC leadership shared a few inspiring words about the organization’s impact and honored 2026 Champion for Children Chef Dustin Valette of Valette, The Matheson, Roof 106 and Valette Wines.

Next year’s date and venue has already been set for September 25, 2027, once again to be held at the Gambonini Family Ranch.
