"When Chantelle Paige-Mulligan and her family want "When Chantelle Paige-Mulligan and her family wanted to bring a new furry friend into their lives, Mill Valley-based nonprofit SaveABunny was the perfect fit, and it wasn’t long before they adopted Pop-Tart the bunny to accompany their mini pig and rescue mutt. True to SaveABunny’s mission, Pop-Tart was a legally released lab rabbit they took under their wing in hopes she would find a loving home just like Paige-Mulligan’s. 'She hops up and bumps her nose on us for cuddles constantly and has far more personality than I thought a bunny could,' Paige-Mulligan says. While many bunnies are taken in by SaveABunny, Pop-Tart’s transition from a lab to a family is what the nonprofit considers 'a beautiful example of the healing, hope and inspiration that SaveABunny embodies and champions regarding rabbit welfare.' Fellow bunny lovers have plenty of ways to support this mission as well and get a dopamine boost through SaveABunny’s opportunities. The Sausalito Community Boating Center is providing waterfront access to all ⛵️ From sailing and kayaking to marine education, this nonprofit is opening doors (and docks!) to the joys of life on the water 🏄‍♂️ Whether you're a seasoned sailor or just dipping your toes in, there's a place for you here 🚣‍♀️ The official first day of SCBC will be on April 27. Blackie’s Pasture in Tiburon may be popular for Blackie’s Pasture in Tiburon may be popular for its large, bronze statue of a horse — Blackie himself — but don’t discount this spot for plentiful blooms as well. A walk on the Old Rail Trail along Richardson Bay in Tiburon is a delight in the spring thanks to the efforts of the Tiburon Green Team. Be sure to check out the Wildflower Meadow below the Trestle Trail where the Green Team spread wildflower seeds before the recent rains.
