It's also more than a glitzy premiere circuit — MVFF Education has screened films free for Marin's K-12 students for 30+ years, and the Mind the Gap initiative has awarded $10,000 grants to emerging female directors, with past honorees like Rose Byrne and Laura Dern. This year's lineup includes Sam Rockwell and John Malkovich for Opening Night's Wild Horse Nine, Julianne Moore and Paul Giamatti closing it out in The Debut, plus Olivia Colman, Andrew Scott, Léa Seydoux, and dozens more.
