85th Annual Novato Community Tree Lighting

The turkey has been consumed. The calendar has flipped ahead to December. It must be time for the 85th Annual Novato Community Tree Lighting this weekend! Get in the spirit in downtown Novato as Mayor Jeanne MacLeamy welcomes the community, along with former Mayor Eric Lucan, lead the children in the Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony.

There will be special holiday entertainment, Santa’s Village (bring your wish list!) food, hot drinks and craft booths, along with a local kids toy drive. Be sure to donate a new, unwrapped gift to the Novato Fire Department at the event and spread holiday cheer to those in need. Rounding out the event is a visit from Santa and His Elves arriving with Love2Dance members performing a holiday dance routine. Can't forget to mention free holiday carriage rides from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on Grant Avenue.

The event is free, and held in downtown Novato at City Hall on Sherman Avenue. Additional events held in Novato to celebrate the holidays include,”Let It Snow, Novato!” and the Window Decorating Contest, both held on Saturday, December 13 on The Green on Sherman Avenue.
