To many art novices like myself, only names like Picasso and Van Gogh ring a bell. Modern and renaissance art is far beyond my comprehension and to my knowledge, all art is not considered equal. But how do you reduce and sum up an entire, world-wide field?
If you’ve been meaning to expand your art horizons, this weekend is a great place to start. This Saturday and Sunday offers anyone from the uneducated art admirer to experienced collector a chance to explore Native North and Latin American art at the 32nd annual American Indian Art Show. The exhibition will showcase the best of both historic and contemporary artifacts including jewelry, pottery, sculpture and more with some even available for purchase. The show offers a unique experience as it attracts the country’s most passionate dealers and collectors sharing their knowledge of the underappreciated genre. Be prepared to learn something new, and have a great time at this art extravaganza!
