When Marinites hear the dish "Chinese Chicken Salad," they automatically think of Comforts' signature dish. While this salad is simply delicious, it’s just one of the many reasons that Comforts is so popular. In addition to the cafe, Comforts offers a take out counter and bakery, full service catering and the marketplace.

I’ve been a fan of Comforts for many years and especially love the Chinese Chicken Salad and the array of fresh vegetable dishes from the take out counter (to name a few favorites). Last year I had the opportunity to work closely with Glenn and Erin Miwa and they have become two of my favorite people. Glenn’s warm and welcoming attitude seems to come through in his food. And when it comes to photo shoots, he and Erin are always easy and fun to work with. For this photo, the poured concrete floor seemed to be the perfect background, so we cleared a space in the very crowded main room –– Comforts seems to always have a very steady stream of customers –– placed the dish on the floor and had fun playing around with it a bit.
