On October 28, the Sausalito Center For The Arts held its first fundraising gala with an event theme that synced with its Dia de Los Muertos-inspired art exhibit, Milagros and Memories.

The Milagros and Memories exhibit shared the voice and the spirit of contemporary Bay Area Mexican American and Latino artists, who presented their gripping and highly symbolic art representing a complex and dynamic culture with elements from historical Mexican, Latin, and indigenous roots. The exhibit — which ran until November 12 — combined with the gala event raised more than $80,000 for the center.

Sausalito Center For The Arts officially opened its doors on February 16, 2023 with a ribbon cutting ceremony presented by Sausalito Mayor Melissa Blaustein. That event was attended by community leaders, artists and the public at-large. It celebrated the achievement of establishing a non-profit, multi-use artistic venue in the heart of downtown Sausalito with county-wide appeal.
