Fifth Annual FOGG Fest

Give back and then kick back at the 5th Annual FOGG Fest, a volunteer program hosted by REI and the National Park Service and the Presidio Trust. By participating in this service project and helping beautify this already gorgeous place, you’ll be rewarded with a discounted ticket to the Trail Mixer — not a bad deal for free beers on tap from sponsor Drake’s Brewing Company. There will also be a live band, wine from local wineries, a food truck, and some amazing views to enjoy.

FOGG (Friends of the Golden Gate) is a group of young professionals who support the parks through their membership with the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy by raising awareness, support, and engagement with 21–40-year-olds in the Bay Area to create the next generation of park stewards and supporters.

If You Go:

When: Saturday, June 13th from 10am to 4pm

Where: Golden Gate Overlook, The Presidio Lincoln Blvd at Langdon Court San Francisco, CA 94129

Cost: $10 for give back and kickback, $35 for kickback only

Kasia Pawlowska loves words. A native of Poland, Kasia moved to the States when she was seven. The San Francisco State University creative writing graduate went on to write for publications like the San Francisco Bay Guardian and KQED Arts among others prior to joining the Marin Magazine staff. Topics Kasia has covered include travel, trends, mushroom hunting, an award-winning series on social media addiction and loads of other random things. When she’s not busy blogging or researching and writing articles, she’s either at home writing postcards and reading or going to shows. Recently, Kasia has been trying to branch out and diversify, ie: use different emojis. Her quest for the perfect chip is never-ending.
