West Coast Craft

West Coast Craft is back –– with a twist. For the first time ever, the wildly popular show has a summer slot. The craft and design show distinguishes itself from others by promising a carefully selected set of designers, artists, and craftspeople all inspired by the mood and aesthetics of the West Coast lifestyle. After glancing at their blog, this assertion seems to stand, and the list of vendors this year is exhaustive. You’ll see familiar local names like Inner Richmond favorites Foggy Notion and purveyors of awesome men’s wares, Welcome Stranger.
Another new development is West Coast Craft’s partnership with Converse this year. The sneaker brand has donated 200 pairs of Chuck Taylors, which will be painted, stitched, printed, and otherwise customized by WCC vendors, artists, and friends, like these kicks from Rice Paper Scissors (who will be there serving up their usual brand of deliciousness). The proceeds from the sales will go directly to Youth Art Exchange, an organization that promotes a shared creative practice between professional artists and public high school students, furthering youth as leaders, thinkers, and artists in San Francisco. As tempting as it may be to stick to your comfort level, don’t miss out on the other 250 vendors from other parts of our coast. To top it all off, Vetiver's Andy Cabic will be providing a soundtrack for the event and The Bon Vivants will be on hand, fueling the joy with their refined cocktails.
