July On the Scene

Out on the town this July? Here are some of the most fun and fabulous local galas, fundraisers, celebrations and other events to see and be seen at this month around Marin County.

July 14 Richmond/Ermet Aid Foundation Raises Funds for Project Open Hand

The Richmond/Ermet Aid Foundation (REAF) presents its gala benefit concert, Help Is on the Way 30th Anniversary. You can bet that it will be a star-studded main affair with talented performers and sensational vocalists. Last year’s event featured recording artist Debby Holiday paying tribute to the late Tina Turner, with the evening raising $50,000 to benefit Project Open Hand and REAF’s Small Emergency Grants Program.

July 27 Beatles in the Park

The Fab Four take over Creek Park in San Anselmo for a night during “Beatles in the Park”—an annual concert and fundraiser put together by the San Anselmo Arts Commission. The show, under the direction of Joe Bagale, re-creates Paul, John, George and Ringo’s signature style and attracts hundreds of fans of all ages who enjoy renditions from the Beatles extensive songbook. 100% of the ticket sales go toward the arts commission’s public arts and youth scholarship programs.

Every summer before school starts, Ritter Center gives students backpacks filled with essential school supplies and a $100 gift card for new school apparel. Ritter Center is dedicated to assisting people living in poverty and/or experiencing homelessness in Marin County, and providing school supplies can hugely impact families while prices continue to rise.
