About the party:
Whistlestock is a music event that raises funds for the vital work of Whistlestop, an organization that offers solutions to loneliness, isolation, and hunger for Marin’s older adults and people living with disabilities, providing a host of social connections, nutrition programs and transportation services.
The event was a great success, with 400 attendees raising $200,000 to benefit this valuable charity. This year’s concert featured Grammy award-nominee Elvin Bishop’s Big Fun Trio, BB King Entertainer of the Year Tommy Castro and the Painkillers, and young rising stars Matt Jaffe and Bella B. They performed outdoors under a shaded tent for an afternoon of rockin’ blues. The event also featured great food and drinks, dancing and fun, and a truly special birthday when one of their clients, Pauline, celebrated her 110th birthday.
The charity will be holding another event, Whistleschtick, in May.
