Hint: Three verbs –that’s it. After the success of Eat Pray Love, It seems marketing departments around the country have been busy coming up with the best three verb combos. Proof – we have two dynamic Marin celebs recently taunting their own.
First our beloved Anne Lamott – her latest book, Help, Thanks, Wow has just hit the bookstores in time for the holidays. Can you think of a more appropriate hostess gift to bring to your next party? The gift basically communicates “take a little time for yourself, read this local author’s award-winning prose and be reminded of gratitude” without really saying it.
Second is from one of my favorite Marin Chef’nterprenuers, (yes, I made up the word) in Marin, Michale Mina who has teamed up with fellow foodies to create … Cook, Taste, Eat, a website for foodies by foodies to demystify recipes and offer daily videos to help you improve your cooking skills. His partners are Tanya Melillo, a Standford and Harvard Grad who also went to the California Culinary Academy. Michelle Branch – yep, the singer – who is also an avid home chef and baker and Rajat Parr, who earned a James Beard Award for best beverage book in 2011, “Secrets of the Sommeliers: How to Think and Drink Like the World’s Top Wine Professionals."
Have you missed one? Let me know.
