How to Develop a Charitable Giving Plan in Uncertain Times

Giving Back

From the ongoing pandemic to the anti-racist protests, organizations and individuals in the U.S. and globally are desperately needing philanthropic support right now. So how can we help, when we ourselves might also be financially struggling? How can we decide which causes to support, when there are so many in need? Finally, how can we best leverage technology and digital platforms to support our charitable giving?

The Riveter recently invited the Women’s Philanthropy Institute’s (WPI) Jeannie Sager, Givly’s Tiffany Williams, and Make It Better Media Group’s Susan B. Noyes to discuss how we can lean into our generosity, all while navigating these turbulent times.

WPI’s body of research, which explores a variety of philanthropic topics through a gender lens, shows that women are especially generous. Its latest study, Women Give: New Forms of Giving in the Digital Age, also finds that women give more online. Women embrace an expansive definition of philanthropy that includes not only one’s treasure, but also one’s time, talent, and testimony – when leveraging these 4T’s through a thoughtfully prepared giving plan, you can be more intentional and effective with your philanthropy, allowing you to give more wisely during the pandemic and beyond.

We are thrilled to share with you the full recording of The Riveter’s webinar here, along with access to the resources you’ll need to create your very own giving plan:
