MARION BRENNER Tropical Modern. Marion Brenner is a Berkeley photographer whose work has appeared in national and international publications including House & Garden, Garden Design and Martha Stewart Living magazines and The New York Times. She specializes in landscape and garden photography and recently did photography for the book In & Out of Paris: Gardens of Secret Delights.
BRADEN SUMMERS Editor's Welcome. Braden Summers is an artist and an award-winning photographer whose 2013 Kickstarter-funded All Love Is Equal photography series became a viral sensation and garnered global attention. He is equally known for his portraiture and lifestyle photography in national and international publications and now does video portraits. He spends his time in San Francisco and New York City.
DAVID DUNCAN LIVINGSTON On Pointe, French Connection. A native of the Bay Area, David has been photographing for interior designers, architects, magazines and books for many years, using both natural light and strobe lighting to create compelling images. He was the sole photographer for more than five books of interior design, including San Francisco Style and California Country Style by Chronicle Books.
BLAKE MARVIN A Family Dream House. Dallas-born Blake Marvin typically crisscrosses the globe, shooting fancy resorts in exotic locations, but calls the San Francisco Bay Area home. His images of buildings and places, often created with the use of drones, have aerial perspectives. His photographs of developer John Conomos’ wine country home on a vertiginous hillside lot facing a valley would have been nearly impossible to get just a few years ago.
MICHAL VENERA Eames Wonderland/ Michal Venera escaped communist Czechoslovakia, eventually landing in San Francisco; here, homeless and with nary a word of English, he got a job as a fisherman before becoming a professional photographer. For the last 25 years he has shot for multiple corporate clients such as Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware. He now lives with his son in a tugboat docked in Sausalito when he is not at his West Marin sheep ranch.
JOE FLETCHER A-Game in Muir Beach, The Barn & Beyond, Through the Looking Glass. Joe Fletcher was a fine art photographer in his native England before coming to the Bay Area, where he has focused on creating images of architecture and interiors. His work across the globe has appeared in Dwell as well as in Wallpaper and other international design publications.
THORINA ROSE Eat, Play, Love. A San Francisco–based artist and educator at California College of the Arts, Thorina Rose applies her expertise to projects such as books, product design, advertising, nonprofit and magazine production. Rose is the author and illustrator of the graphic novel The Heartbreak Diet and was a finalist for the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art’s SECA award.
CESAR RUBIO Makeover. Cesar Rubio, a San Francisco–based photographer, has been documenting the work of architects and designers for more than 25 years, using an approach informed by his early studio work and a lifelong love of motion pictures. His photos have appeared in Architectural Record, Interior Design, Metropolis, Contract and The New York Times.
AUBRIE PICK Voices. Aubrie Pick is a San Francisco food, lifestyle and interiors photographer, originally from Los Angeles, whose work takes her around the world. She created images for upcoming cookbooks for Luisa Weiss, Charlotte Druckman and star chef Guy Fieri. When she is not behind her camera, she can be found with her scruffy dog Tallulah, hiking the hills around her San Francisco home — or simply perfecting her spicy tandoori chicken soup while plotting her next road trip.

LAURA HILGERS Voices. Laura Hilgers, a regular contributor to Marin Magazine, is a Bay Area writer whose work has also appeared in O, Sports Illustrated, Vogue and other publications. A mother of two grown children, she lives in San Anselmo and enjoys the hiking trails of Ross Valley and Mount Tamalpais.
LISA BOQUIREN Gallery. Marin-based editor and writer Lisa Boquiren, who was on the steering committee for the American Institute of Architects National Convention, is a design and architecture aficionada who also maintains a marketing consultancy.
SARAH LYNCH On Pointe. Sarah Lynch has been a writer and magazine editor for 15 years, including seven as the editor-in-chief of California Home+Design magazine. She has also authored nine books about interior design and is currently working on The Magical World of Mr. Ken Fulk, about the San Francisco designer.
REED WRIGHT Through the Looking Glass, Tropical Modern, Makeover. Reed Wright is a Bay Area writer whose work has appeared in Western Interiors & Design magazine and other national publications.
