This year the Marin County Fair celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Summer of Love with music, art, and fashion featuring tie-dye competitions, Flower Power horticulture, psychedelic and abstract art, daily 60’s fashion parades and more. Don’t miss the special exhibit chronicling the Summer of Love’s origins in Marin County starting in June of 1967.
The Barnyard features farm animals, great American pig races and petting zoo; fur and feathers tent; vaulting; junior dairy cattle show; and sheep dog trials. Check out the special culinary contests; floriculture and horticulture; arts and crafts; photography; and performing arts competitions.
As always, there are free carnival rides, farm animal exhibits, free concerts and fireworks every night.
