The Dipsea Race Foundation honored the 100th running of the famed Dipsea Race with a dinner program attended by a number of dignitaries at the Mill Valley Community Center. The Dipsea Trail was recently listed in the National Register of Historic Places in August.
This spring, Zero Breast Cancer hosted its 11th annual Honor Thy Healer breast cancer awards program at the Mill Valley Community Center. All proceeds will support ZBC’s research and education programs.
At the recent Kapalua Food and Wine Festival in Hawaii, locals Elizabeth and Branton Cole flew to Maui for a quick weekend getaway to enjoy the festival’s Grand Seafood Tasting at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua. The event featured food from the area’s top restaurants, including Banyan Tree, Kai Sushi Bar, Merriman’s Kapalua and the Plantation House Restaurant, along with wine tastings from around the world. The four-day culinary festival, which includes celebrity chefs and America’s top sommeliers, celebrates its 30th anniversary next June.

Whistlestop, a service for older adults in Marin County, held its first-ever Silver Express Poetry Contest for Marin residents age 60 or older. Guests were treated to readings of the winning poems at a celebration lunch.
